Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Golder account and all associated business data at any time. This page explains how to request deletion, what will be removed, and what we are required to keep for legal reasons.

1. Who can delete the account

Only the account owner (the Company Owner role) can request deletion of the entire Golder account. Deleting the account removes the shop (tenant), all branches, all employees that were invited into the account, and all data entered into the service.

If you are an employee invited into a Golder account, you cannot delete the whole account. Ask the account owner to remove your access, or contact us using the details below and we will help.

2. How to delete from the mobile app

The fastest way to delete your account is from the Golder mobile app, which meets Google Play and Apple App Store in-app deletion requirements.

Step by step

  • Open the Golder app and sign in as the account owner.
  • Go to Settings.
  • Scroll to the “Danger zone” and tap “Delete account”.
  • Read the warning, then tap “Continue”.
  • Re-enter your password to confirm it is really you.
  • Tap “Delete my account”.

After confirmation, you are signed out immediately. Your account can no longer be used to sign in, and all data begins its permanent deletion process.

3. How to delete without the app

If you cannot access the Golder app — for example, because you lost your device, forgot your password, or never installed the app — you can still request deletion of your account and data. Send us a deletion request through any of these channels:

  • Email us from the phone number or email used on the account.
  • Message us on one of the WhatsApp numbers listed at the bottom of this page.
  • Tell us your shop name and the account owner’s phone number so we can identify the account.

We verify every request to make sure only the real account owner can delete the account. Once verified, we confirm by reply and process the deletion within seven business days.

4. What gets deleted

When your deletion request is confirmed, we permanently erase the following data from our active systems:

  • Your shop (tenant) profile, owner name, phone number, and address.
  • All branches you created, including branch-level settings and access rights.
  • All employees and users you invited into the account.
  • All inventory, sales, purchases, cash register, customer, supplier, and debt records.
  • All reports, exports, configuration, and pricing rules saved inside the account.
  • All device identifiers and push notification tokens linked to the account.

5. What we keep and why

A very small amount of information may be kept even after deletion, strictly when the law requires us to or when we need it for essential legitimate purposes:

  • Invoices and payment records for the period required by applicable tax and accounting laws.
  • A minimal record that an account with your identifier existed and was deleted, for audit and anti-fraud purposes.
  • Security logs required to investigate incidents, kept only for the minimum necessary period.

This retained data is isolated from the rest of the platform, access is restricted, and it is deleted as soon as the legal obligation ends.

6. Timeline

The timeline from request to full erasure is:

  • Immediately — your account is deactivated. You are signed out and cannot sign in again.
  • Within 7 business days — we confirm the deletion in writing (email or WhatsApp).
  • Within 30 days — all user-generated data is permanently removed from active databases.
  • Within 90 days — encrypted backups containing your data expire on their normal rotation cycle.

7. Undoing a deletion

Account deletion is intentionally final. Once the account is deactivated, it cannot be reactivated from inside the app.

If you change your mind before the 30-day erasure window ends, contact us immediately through the channels below. We will do our best to stop the erasure, but once data has been removed from active databases, recovery is no longer possible.

8. Subscription and refunds

Deleting your account also ends your subscription. In line with our Terms of Use, amounts paid are non-refundable once the subscription has been activated. There is no partial refund for unused time.
